IWTO’s Market Information
A bi-annual compilation of the global wool market’s production statistics from farm to retail
Statistics play a vital role for all industries. As part of IWTO’s mission the Market Intelligence Committee produces the Market Information, a compilation of statistics on global wool production and the textile industry.
Prepared by a team of consultants led by Independent Commodity Services, the Market Information provides data and analysis on all stages of the wool textile industry, along with a review of the past season and the outlook for what lies ahead.
Since its launch, the Market Information has tracked the wool value chain from farm to retail, combining rigorous statistics with expert analysis. This milestone 20th edition continues to deliver a clear picture of where the market has been and where it is heading.
Twenty editions in, the value of this report has not changed,” says Isak Staats, chair of IWTO’s Market Intelligence Committee. “With the Market Information, we aim to give the industry a clear pictre of where the market has been and where it is heading.”
