Wool Industry Flocks to France: 2025 IWTO Congress in Lille
Weaving a perfect fit between past and present, Lille, France, was the venue for the 94th IWTO Congress, 20-22 May, 2025. This historic city, steeped in a rich textile history, was a fitting backdrop for wool industry leaders and enthusiasts to gather.
The event brought together 286 participants representing more than 170 companies and 28 countries across the global wool supply chain for three days of industry dialogue.
Following welcomes from the IWTO President Klaus Steger and Vice President Olivier Segard, Bertrand Gaume welcomed delegates to the region of Hauts-de-France.
Olivier Ducatillion, Associate Director of Lemaitre Demeestere, President of the Union of Textiles Industries (UIT), introduced Anne-Cécile Violland, Member of the French Parliament, followed by Alexandre Capelli, Environmental Deputy Director of LVMH Group.
