The International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) welcomes the launch of ZDHC Supplier to Zero Version 2, an important development for suppliers, including wool scouring facilities and integrated woollen mills.
The updated programme provides the wool industry with a stronger framework to demonstrate its efforts and performance in implementing sustainable chemical management.
By moving beyond the assessment of management systems, Supplier to Zero Version 2 places greater emphasis on measurable implementation and outcomes.
This will help wool-processing facilities show customers, brands and other stakeholders how they manage chemical risks, improve operational practices and work towards better environmental performance.
Supporting the transition
To support the transition, ZDHC have also published a series of Knowledge Base articles covering the key changes, FAQs and practical guidance to help you complete your StZ V2 self-assessment on the new Supplier Platform, which will go live soon.
IWTO encourages wool-processing suppliers to familiarise themselves with the updated programme and begin preparing for implementation.

❇️ Supplier to Zero is the implementation and assessment framework of the ZDHC Suppliers Roadmap to Zero. It enables suppliers to evaluate, demonstrate and benchmark the extent to which sustainable chemical management practices have been implemented across their operations and supply chains, based on their specific supplier profile. Supplier to Zero evaluates performance across three focus areas aligned with the ZDHC Suppliers Roadmap to Zero: Input, Process and Output.
