Schneider Group Launches Authentico® for Fully Traceable Wool Supply Chain

IWTO Member Schneider Group, a leader in sourcing and processing wool, has launched Authentico®, a brand that offers a transparent, ethical, and high-quality wool supply chain, from farm to garment.

The brand combines Schneider Group’s century-long experience with a commitment to sustainability. Authentico® wool is sourced from carefully selected farms and processed in mills in Italy, Argentina, and Egypt.

“The uniqueness of a brand like Authentico® is based on the Schneider Group worldwide network of wool procurement offices and certified combing mills, featuring the farm management and industrial processing souls of the company,” says Authentico® Brand Manager Debora Tricarico.

“Authentico® encompasses the Schneider Group century-old experience, passion and know-how in the wool industry as well as its values of sustainability, quality and performance.”

Traceability is a Key Feature

The Authentico® Verification System ensures traceability throughout the supply chain. This system includes:

  • Authentico® Integrity Scheme: Establishes best practices for farms, including animal welfare and land management.
  • Authentico® Brand Guidelines: Provides criteria for spinners, weavers, and other supply chain partners to align with Authentico® values.
  • TextileGenesis™ Platform: Digitally tracks wool from farm to finished product.
